World Cyanotype Day 2026

World Cyanotype Day fells on September 26 this year, and the theme is "Global Blueprint". I've had a hard time choosing a good piece to submit, since all I do is basically blueprints. But I've decided to respond to the world "global" and entered my eggshell series one, the one with the map. There is an expression in Russian, when something, usually a problem, is not worth anything, not worthy of worrying, it is "not worthy of an emptied out egg". So I look at our fragile planet - is it worth an emptied-out egg? I called my submission "Our Fragile World", partially referring back to the line from the Doors, "ghosts crowd the young child's fragile eggshell mind". Happy World Cyanotype Day, everyone.
