Rediscovered joy

Starting fall of last year, as I turned "middle age", I have rediscovered my joy in Burlesque. I've been taking classes, courses, and drops in, have reconnected with my old burlesque friends and made new ones, connected with my body in its new shape and state, performed on stage, and on film. I have forgotten how much I've missed it, how much I've missed the thrill of performance, the cheers of support from the audience, sheer pride in oneself and fellow students, and the sense of comradery and community. I would like to thank my two great teachers, Knox Harter and Belle Jumelles, for continuously sharing their gift with the world, and thank everyone in the Burlesque community for keeping it alive and together!

I have also updated my page dedicated to my stage persona, Tchairy, whom I've renamed from "Black" to "Noir", so this way I can also keep my initials! Tchairy is pronounced "cherry", obviously..
